COVID-19

“With a positive outlook, we are preparing to welcome guests back in to the Firehall Theatre for the 2020/2021 Season. Over the summer we hosted the Dancing on the Edge Festival, Pride Performance Empowers Weekend, and the Music in the Courtyard series, both in our wonderful courtyard and in our theatre. These summer events allowed us to test and refine what works best to keep everyone as safe as we possibly can, including the best places to position the hand sanitizing stations, which route works best to get to the washrooms and back to seating without having to be jammed together in hallways and how best to encourage patrons to be patient and stand in physically-distanced places while waiting to be seated by our staff. Feedback from audiences and artists has been so positive as they see the care we are taking to bring music and artistic experiences to life during these times. They have been thanking our staff every night, sending personal emails expressing how important attending a performance was for their emotional and mental health and in many cases making donations and saying they will be back.”
