Wolfson photographs Vancouver’s unused homes in various stages of demolition. These domestic spaces are captured, devoid of human presence and eerily empty. Beyond the existential, these sites conjure the recent discussions over our changing landscape and fiery controversy about the housing market, affordability, aesthetics and meanings of community.
The images are of a moment when change is still in its early stages. Each embodies a nostalgic past, a recognisable present and a tentative future. they bring to the fore the many implications and emotions associated with rapid social change.
