A Firehall Arts Centre presentation of a Ruby Slippers Theatre production
Back in time for the holiday season, this wildly funny Christmas satire dares to deconstruct the Nativity Story, playfully posing questions like, why was The Inn so full? Who would turn away a very pregnant woman? Award-winning playwright Drew McCreadie’s outrageous and insightful comedy for adults takes an inside look at what ACTUALLY happened at the Inn that infamous silent night. Warning: wacky jokes and crude puns may induce laughter.
“McCreadie’s humour parallels that of Monty Python, and the opening night audience laughed all throughout this satire…At the rate this comedy hit is going, it might come back again next year for the fourth time around.” – Ed Farolan, Review Vancouver (full review here)
“all about rhythm, absurdity, and irreverence… John Murphy doesn’t just tip his hat to Basil Fawlty, he rips it off his head and eats it” – Colin Thomas, Georgia Straight
“You’ll giggle the bah, humbugs right out of your system in this scandalously irreverent Christmas play.” – Jo Ledingham, Vancouver Courier
