Firehall Arts Centre COVID-19 Safety Protocols
How Seating Has Changed
With Phase 3 of B.C.’s Restart Plan taking effect July 1st, 2021, we will be increasing our capacity in both the theatre and courtyard of the Firehall Arts Centre, while still maintaining general seating for some productions and selected seating for others. Physically distancing will be in effect for both seating types. The new theatre capacity will be 75 seats for patrons, and the new courtyard capacity will be 55 seats for patrons. We are asking patrons not to mingle, and maintain seats with those they arrive with, as well as staying in the seats they are assigned. We ask patrons with any seating requests to let us know online in their reservations notes, or over the phone with a staff member. We cannot guarantee that seating requests will be met, but we will try our best.
At this time, masks are mandatory for indoor settings. Patrons must wear their masks at all times while in the building, including at their seats.
According to the PHO order for Gatherings and Events, as of September 13th, proof of initial vaccination status will be required for entry to the Firehall, as the Firehall falls under the category of, Indoor concerts, theatre, dance and symphony events with more than 50 people. We ask that patrons come prepared with both a valid government issued photo I.D. AND their BC vaccine card.
The following is a list of all the safety measures we’ve put in place so that we may safely continue bringing art to the community we hold dear.
–We have developed a COVID-19 Safety Plan which will transition in to a Communicable Disease Prevention Plan. This plan is available upon request.
–There will be sanitation of surface areas.
–Hand sanitizer will be easily available.
–We have installed at both of our box office desks, and our bar, plexi glass borders to maintain a barrier between staff and patrons.
