From Where We Stand: A shared evening of dance

A compelling evening of extremes in performance styles as Tara Cheyenne Friedenberg and Chick Snipper come together to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of Tara Cheyenne Performance. Formerly DSB, Chick handed the company over to Tara a decade ago. Tara and Chick excel as artists, creators, teachers and mentors.

Having been inspired by Rabih Alamedinne’s novel An Unnecessary Woman, Chick felt compelled to create a solo for long time collaborator Anne Cooper, revealing the aloneness, vulnerability and vitality of an ‘older woman’.

I Can’t Remember the Word for I Can’t Remember

by Tara Cheyenne

This piece has been described as stand-up comedy with dance. Funny, poignant and intimate. No fourth wall needed.

A new solo created in collaboration with Vancouver director/writer/actor, John Murphy. Mining the missing files of memory, the boxes into which we misplace ourselves, and the inexplicably of….you…know…this…thing…
